Wo Lai Yeh Bak Kut Teh @ Sungai Nibong, Penang.

Finally, i get to taste this yummy Bak Kut Teh which may be branded as one of the best in Penang together with my family.
If you are a fan of my blog, you would know that i have slightly mentioned about it in my previous post.
However, for your information, they start their daily business from evening to night.
I remember the coffee shop is closed for business once every two weeks, so make sure you check that out before you pay them a visit.
The Bak Kuk Teh seller owns the coffee shop and that is why the Bak Kut Teh stall and the coffee shop shares the same name, Wo Lai Yeh (我来也).
If you are coming from the Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal and not taking the flyover, take the left turning before you encounter the D'Aver Cafe.
You should be able to locate the cafe now, it is on your left.
There are two coffee shops side by side there, and it is not the one facing Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

You better be early if you want to try out the super aromatic yam rice.
The yam rice there is the best i have ever had in my 19 years.
It was flavorful although you found no yam cubes or yam slices in the mountain of rice.
The rice went superbly with the soup, giving out a wonderful taste.
A plate of of you char kway (油条) was served along.

We have also asked for the baby bokchoy with meat floss.
I only consume certain types of vegetables.
Unfortunately, i can't find this on the list of those vegetables.
Thus, i have no comment on this.

Our claypot Bak Kut Teh was served within 5 minutes after placing our order.
The portion was meant for 3 to 4 people.
There was a generous amount of meaty pork ribs given and the soup was simply scrumptious.
I could feel the intense traditional Chinese herbal taste tangling on my taste buds.
You know what? It is pretty hard to describe the taste of Bak Kut Teh.
All i know that it was awesome and it definitely worth revisiting.

There was a total of 3 bowls of yam rice and a bowl of white rice.
Adding the claypot Bak Kut Teh, vegetables and you char kway, the total cost was RM26 which is quite fair.

Address : Jalan Bukit Kecil 1, Kampung Sungai Nibong, Bayan Lepas, 11900 Penang.
