Dinner at Roti Bakar Kopitiam at Taman Kheng Tian @ Jelutong, Penang.

OMG, you are kidding me, Roti Bakar Kopitiam again?
Is that exactly what is on your mind now?
After reading my reviews, my family was very eager to try it out.
That is why i had my dinner there.
Since i was there and they ordered something that i have never tried before, this review is produced.
To obtain details regarding how to get there, please kindly click here.

Well, my brother has asked for a cup of Hot Honey Lemon which cost RM3.20.
In my opinion, i felt that it was way too saccharine.

You are familiar with these, aren't you?
I have reviewed them on my previous post.

Although the restaurant is registered under the name Roti Bakar Kopitiam, but toasted bread is not their speciality.
So far, i have already tested their various kind of toasted bread and all of them tasted so-so, got nothing special.
Guess what is that in the picture below?
It looks like egg-fried bread huh?
Seriously, it was the French Toast with Kaya which is priced at RM3.20.
Damn, it wasn't even close to the standard of Kim Gary's French Toast.
Thumbs down for the super thin Roti Kahwin and also the tiny amount of Kaya and butter given.
You know what? The whole thing just tasted like toasted Kaya Roti.

Hilariously, the cook turned to be so generous now.
An over-amount of syrupy gravy was topped onto my Honey Chicken Steak Rice (RM6.30).
That severely sweetened my rice and i highly doubt that i could catch Diabetes from it.

I am on the verge of trying everything in their menu.
This was once one of the dishes i have never tried, but not anymore.
The Fish Porridge (RM5.90) was a little bit overpriced as you may see there is nothing much in it.
Roadside fish porridge is certainly cheaper and tastier though.

We have paid RM8.90 for this Nasi Rendang Chicken.
Honest speaking, the green rice and normal nasi lemak taste alike, but the green rice was full of Pandan aroma.
A whole big piece of curry chicken thigh was given.
The curry wasn't spicy and it coped well with the rice.
Overall, it was not that ambrosial, still way behind Seafood Ginger Milk.

The Satay here are not eligible to be compared to those at the main branch.
The meat was not compact at all and there was quite a lot of fat.
Besides, the Satay gravy was a disappointment as it was extremely dry and salty.
I sighed for the not-so-palatable dish and the price (RM7.80 for 10 sticks of them).

Apparently, Roti Bakar Kopitiam at Ivory Plaza is still the best, no matter from the aspect of environment, service and food.
