The Ship Ferringhi @ Batu Ferringhi, Penang.

Hmm? What to eat on the very special Valentine's Day?
I was intending to go for hotel buffets but unfortunately, this year's valentine gifts have already burnt a hole in my wallet.
For my Valentine's Day post, please visit here!

Finally, the Ship Ferringhi appeared on my mind.
Without any hesitation, my other half and i went there to have a fine dining.
The journey took us half an hour from Sungai Pinang.
I adored the replica pirate ship very much!

The Ship did offer Valentine's Day set menu, but we decided not to take it.
I ordered a Sizzling Hot Plate Chicken while my other half's choice was the Seafood Platter.
The restaurant is reputed for its very dark, silent and romantic dining environment.
As for the food, there was nothing special, no matter from the aspect of taste or appearance.

The appetizers, bread with butter and our salad bowl.
The bread with butter comes only with an extra charge of 1 buck.

Our cream of mushroom. Still, the best is Mizi's.
The soup is not worth of the price we have paid, 7.50 bucks and yet it tasted like the canned soup.

Fruit punch, i guess it was a mixture of watermelon and cherry juice, nice though!
I can't remember the price well, it was like 7 or 8 bucks.

Speaking about my sizzling thingy, it was more like chicken chop on a hot plate, which cost us 22 bucks.
Its taste was just simply very so-so, the texture was even worst, and if i am to choose between the fries and that of Nando's, no doubt, i would go for Nando's.
Large disappointment though.

Regarding the Seafood Platter which consist of fries, fish, squid, prawns and scallops was fine.
The scallops and squid were awesome!
As for the prawns and fish, they tasted okay.
But, the quantity was a little bit small but still managed to satisfy a girl.

Our total bill was approximately 85 bucks which was considered expensive for what we have consumed.
But, with such dining environment, such price was expected.
